Hello everyone,
This message is to give you all information related to the surgeries and treatment of ashwini till now.
He underwent Craniotomy i.e. removal of a portion of skull on 4th march due to the fracture in skull and blood clot in brain.
6-8 left rib fracture caused spleen rupture for which splenectomy i.e. removal of spleen was performed on 7th march.
collection of hemorrhagic fluid led to pleural tapping i.e. draining out of fluid from lungs and/or heart on 20th march.
This fluid collection comes under severe infection for which re-exploration of abdomen was done on 30th march after which he was shifted to ruby hall clinic on 7th april.
Persistant fever caused by infection in several body parts deteriorated his condition and slowed down the neurological improvement.
Another surgery on chest for tapping of collected fluid was performed in ruby hall and an ICD tube was inserted.
Infection caused constant fever which led to intra ventricular extension of right tempero parietal lobe with cerebral edema.
Again, surgery was performed on extended tempero parietal for pleural tapping by inserting a tube on 24th may.
Now, all the tubes have been removed except the one in throat .
No or very less fever, heart rate, respiration rate ,bp under control.
ventilator and oxygen support has been removed for 20 days now. RT feeding with intensive nursing in ICU for a prolonged period is still required as neurological improvement is very less till date.
we pray for his speedy recovery.
Thank you all for the overwhelming support.
