Hi My name is Shayan Chatterjee and I am raising funds for my father, Ashok Chatterjee. He is retired and his monthly income only amounts up to Rs. 0. I am his only child. He has been fighting Kidney failure and he is 82 years old with chronic kidney disease. Creatinine level:6. He is undergoing long term dialysis with 2 dialysis sessions weekly. He is currently undergoing treatment at Ruby Hospital. He has been suffering for more than two months and it has been a tough time for me and my family. Dialysis is his only hope at getting better and living a normal life. His treatment will cost approximately Rs. 5 lakhs for a period of one year.Because of his poor health we also have to incur ambulance charge twice weekly and each trip costs Rs 1200. We are unable to pay for the treatment anymore as my dad is 82 and my mom is 76 with no savings. My elder brother died at the age of 41 in 2010. and since then I am the only earning member, and have exhausted all my savings when he was admitted at Ruby Hospital on 3rd July for 23 days, with the bill amount being Rs. 3,00,000. Subsequent to his discharge from Ruby on 26th July, he is undergoing 2 dialysis sessions weekly along with various tests. My earning is not sufficient enough to fund his dialysis and medical expenses which amounts to roughly 40,000 monthly. Without dialysis he has high life risk and death may come any time.

All of us are eagerly awaiting his recovery. Once he gets better, I'm sure he would love to enjoy a peaceful and happy life with his near and dear ones, and the first thing on his would-be-list is to go for a movie with his family!.
