    This fundraiser will benefit

    child of Swapnil Gandas

    from Pune, Maharashtra

Anvita will turn 5 in January next year. She was just 2 months old when her parents, Swapnil and Bhagyashree, got to know that she has a liver disease and she would need a liver transplant when she grows up.

“But we didn't know when she would need it..in 5 years,10 or 20, we didn’t know. Since then we've lived in the fear of losing her. Whenever she fell sick, we rushed her to the hospital and were relieved when they said everything is fine, but now she is critical and...I’ll lose her if I can’t afford it.”- Swapnil, father

She stopped growing 2 years ago

Anvita loved going to school but ever since she stopped growing, she doesn’t want to go to school anymore.

“Children in her school call her chotti (short) and she hates it. What can we do, she suddenly stopped growing and her weight, she is just 10 kgs. It’s only her stomach that is swollen, rest of her body is so thin. Since 4 months, she has been taking injections for her growth. That’s her life now. I want all this to end, I want to see my child smile again.” - Bhagyashree, mother

She is smart and strong, but I feel weak

“She is so small but is very smart. Whenever we take her to the hospital, she realizes that some painful thing or the other is coming her way. She just looks at me and asks me to stay with her when the doctor gives her injection. Yes, she is scared and she cries a little too, but she is bravely endures whatever treatment is given to her.”- Bhagyashree

A long and happy life for my child, is that too much to ask for?

Anvita also had a hole in her heart for which she underwent a heart surgery too. Swapnil can’t bear the cost of her treatment anymore. With all the medicines and injections she needs, he feels helpless and fears he will lose his child because he just can't afford it.

All we have every thought about was to take care of Anvita and do everything possible to save her, we didn’t even think of having more children. We only want our Anvita to live a long and happy life, is it too much to ask? We want all this to end. No more medicines, injections or surgery...” - Swapnil

Anvita’s liver is failing and you are her only hope. The transplant will cost them 21 lakhs. Without your help these parents will lose their only child.
