I am a college going student however I have 8rescued dogs and 3rescued cats in my house and they are staying with me since a few years now so I take care of them. I also feed the strays who stay around my house and in my college but this September, my world ripped apart when I realized that my 1.5year old cat - Angel's creatinine is 11 although the normal range is between 0.5 to 1.9 for both cats and dogs. I was told by the veterinary doctors that she will pass away within a day or two as she was critically ill but they suspected that she has acute kidney failure. I started her treatment with vigorous drips and repeated blood test, urine test etc and her creatinine fell to 3.5 which was a sigh of relief but thereafter when the drips were discontinued just for around 3-4days, it again shot up to 5.4 and later 5.8 and presently its 7.2 despite of rigorous drips and so the veterinary doctors have told me that she has chronic kidney failure but unfortunately there is no transplant available in India also the medicines are available with great difficulty and are very expensive. I have been regularly giving her drips subcutaneously in the house and I am regularly taking her to a nearby veterinary doctor for her multivitamin injections. Earlier I used to go to a veterinary doctor twice a day, everyday but now I go once a day and she's otherwise quite active like any other cat. She plays with her other canine and feline friends and eats well, jumps up everywhere in the house so I can never think of getting her euthanized, unlike what some people suggested as I am a student and I dont earn so its difficult to afford her humongously expensive treatment although I have been spending on her since September but I urge you all to please come forward and help my Angel and be her Angel by giving her a nice life ahead as she can only survive on regular medication and with regular treatment.
