“4 states and 5 cities - that’s how many places we have gone in search of treatment for our daughter but nothing seems to work out. Cancer is killing her and I don’t know what to do to save her. The doctors in Mumbai have given us some hope but how will a poor farmer like me afford so much?” - Tarun, father of Aarohi.

4-year-old Aarohi is running out of time to receive a lifesaving bone marrow transplant. Her health is deteriorating every day and her parents are helpless.  

Her Parents Couldn't Believe That Their Little Girl Has Cancer...

“It all started a few months back. She could hardly stand on her feet and had even stopped talking. The skin on her leg was peeling off. She couldn’t even straighten her legs and there were swellings all over her body. She was in the hospital for a month and we’ve cried every single day. We couldn’t understand what was happening to her! Only when the test results came out we found out that she has cancer - we couldn’t believe what we heard. Did this mean that we would lose our only child?” - Maloti, mother.

Aarohi’s abdomen is swollen because her liver gets filled with water. She’s suffering from Myelomonocytic Leukaemia due to which her teeth are blackening and she’s getting weaker by the day.  Aarohi needs platelet transfusions almost every day. Red spots are coming out all over her body. Her weakness is evident when one witnesses the 4-year-old. She gets frequent fevers and her hands and legs swollen from time to time.  

Maloti’s Unfortunate Fate

“I’ve had a tumor in my throat, which we had to remove. After that, I got a  tumor in my uterus which has caused a lot of problems. Doctors told me that I can’t have any more children in my life and it’s heartbreaking to watch my only child suffer so much. I can never become a mother again. Now everyday I spend in the fear that cancer will take away Aarohi from me.”

Tarun is a farmer and he earns only a meagre sum of Rs. 180/day. Until now, they’ve borrowed around Rs. 75,000 from their relatives and neighbours. But only a few hundreds is left from the money he had borrowed - now he can’t even buy the regular medicines that Aarohi needs.


 

“We live in a small village in Bengal and we’re not even educated. Here in Mumbai, we have no help or relatives here. Everyday we have to got  to the hospital and it’s so expensive. I need 22.5 lakhs for the transplant. The only way I can save her now is with your help,” - begs Tarun.

4-year-old Aarohi can’t survive without an urgent bone marrow transplant. Maloti and Tarun can’t save Aarohi without your help and they’re running out of time to do so. A generous contribution from your side can help them.
