I am Jayant Singh, Father of 7 year old baby Adya Singh who died due to medical negligence last year at Fortis Hospital.
Over the last few years, stories have come out in the media highlighting the plight of families helpless in the face of exploitation, fleecing and callous treatment by private hospitals. In spite of overwhelming evidence, the Government has turned a blind eye to the crisis in accessing health services through the private sector and not taken any steps towards regulating it. The Medical Law in India requires an emergency overhaul, if required making amendments to the Constitution for the Good of its citizens. Each day that we delay in fixing this major crisis, countless lives are put to risk.
I want to conduct a drive across India to spread awareness about the malpractices in the Healthcare system and call for reform.
