Happy Children’s Library, Seem (Uttarakhand) is an initiative of the Kailashpushp Educational Trust set up with the mandate of providing knowledge based and vocational support to the children of Seem and its surrounding villages. Located in Betalghat block of Nainital district, the library has been operational since June 2016 and in a short period of time has provided over 50 children access to books, vocational education, tuition and computer literacy classes.
The Trust has now proposed to extend the library to accommodate more children, strengthen flooring of the computer room and reinforce the walls to prevent ingress of rainwater. The proposal also calls for the permanent set-up for the existing AV system, as well as wooden furniture and cupboards for storage and floor carpets.

While work has already started on this extension, the projected expense for this is estimated at Rs. 500,000, off which close to Rs. 200,000 have been collected from various sources. This fund-raiser aims to help collect the remaining amount through a network of friends and well-wishers.
