    Underprivileged People

    from New Delhi, Delhi

Hello,
I am Harshitansh Singh from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Currently pursuing Bachelor of Social Work-Legum Baccalaureus (Bachelor of law) at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. From an early age, I have continuously been willing and assisting people. I feel good whenever I help underprivileged people. I always have sympathy and compassion towards destitute and unprivileged people.
In recent times, Life has been challenging for all of us and worst for the individuals who have suffered losses due to COVID-19 or lost their dearest ones. Numerous juveniles have lost their parents, Numerous senior citizens have lost their earning son/ daughter due to which it is extremely hard for them to survive in this unfortunate time. I have specifically selected to work on this issue because, in my opinion, this is the worst period a person can encounter as no one could have predicted this unfortunate situation.
We can help these suffering people in the following ways.
First, We can help them financially by donating some little amount which would not matter for us but will matter the most for the people who need the money for their survival.
Second, We can provide basic items like clothes, food, and shelter.

This can only be accomplished when a large number of people come in help of needy and makes everyone's life better.

As of now, the third wave of COVID-19 is in peak in India. The day I am writing this information which is 14-01-2022,  India reported 2,64,202 fresh COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The new cases mark a 6.7 per cent jump from the 2.47 lakh daily cases reported yesterday. A total of 5,753 Omicron cases are amongst all Covid cases reported so far. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 14.78 per cent which is up from 13.11 per cent (yesterday) while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 11.83 per cent. The country also reported 315 new deaths, taking the total fatalities in India to 485,350, while active cases rose to 12,72,073.
The active cases comprise 3.48 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate decreased to 95.2 per cent, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
