As an Outreach Associate at UnLtd Delhi I get to meet on a daily basis inspiring and passionate change-makers who are working hard to create a better India. With their ideas, passion, and entrepreneurial skills these dynamic innovators strive to bring about long-lasting solutions to the social problems India faces today.
However, often they face difficulties starting up a social venture, because there is a gap in the support and capital offered to them in this early-stage. A lot of budding social entrepreneurs don't know how to start their own ventures and those who do, quit often because they don't find support and acceptance for their work.
Through this fundraising campaign I'm trying to support them in making their dreams come true. I feel so proud and excited to be representing the amazing UnLtd Delhi and its social entrepreneurs at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2016. Its going to the first time that I'm participating in this race so ofcourse I won't be running the half marathon(21.7 km) but the Great Delhi Run (6km) with my team of runners and I hope you will support my fundraising campaign!
About UnLtd Delhi
UnLtd Delhi is a launch pad for start-up social entrepreneurs in India. We find, fund and support exceptional individuals to enable them to develop as leaders, start-up sustainable, high-impact initiatives, and prepare their organisations for growth.
We work with social entrepreneurs, typically in years 0-4 of their venture’s lifecycle, by providing (a) seed funding, (b) hands-on support covering business and financial planning, leadership development, governance, marketing and HR and (c) high-value connections linking our entrepreneurs with peers, subject-matter experts, and further funders or investors.
Since 2015, UnLtd Delhi has supported 22 dynamic social entrepreneurs and 15 social enterprises tackling pressing problems in education, health, livelihoods, gender equality, sanitation, technology, agriculture, skill development and other issues. We have built a strong community of individuals comprising of social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, senior and mid-level leadership within the private sector, who provide pro-bono support to our fellows.
Affiliate Network: UnLtd Delhi is an affiliate of UnLtd India which has supported over 130 social entrepreneurs in Maharashtra since 2007.
