Ask for an update

Story

Problem-
Electrification still is a big problem in India in spite of all the push by the government. Government claims to have electrified 95% of the villages but the definition of electrified still is ambiguous. Power supply is still not ample enough in the villages thus creating a huge need for the rural areas to be electrified. Energy is the core to everything and almost all aspects – livelihood, education and health etc.

Solution -
To develop a Lithium Ion Battery made Solar Home Lighting System that will have a Solar MPPT charge controller and will provide 6 hours backup to efficient tube lights which can bring light to the lives of the people who are currently completely off-grid.
Solar Energy is the most commercially viable renewable source of energy which can be put up in a decentralized way without having to put up a grid all together.
Details of our product –
The product contains a 20W Solar Panel which will run on a Lithium Ion Battery that will run 2 tube lights for 6 hours thus providing electricity to area which needs it the most.
Expected Outcome
  1. Weavers will get electricity after the sun sets at 5 P.M. in Assam. The can take care of basic needs with electricity.
  2. Weavers will be able to work even after the sun sets and will be able to fulfill bigger orders more efficiently.
  3. Children can study even after it gets dark with this Home Lighting System.
