I Ramchandra pole (IFS) born in 1953 from the same locality joined forest service in 1978 and retired in 2013 as chief conservator of forest, Thane, started a school in Akoli to provide best education for local children from area of 50 km. First year 2012-13 the school started in tin shed with 2 small school bus. Including uniform, transportation, bag and books the fees was 8500 per student with strength of 60 students. In 2014 after my retirement i constructed huge school building structure from all my retirement funds and savings. Initially for 4 years i was self sufficient to manage all expense of school from my own pocket. But now in 5th year i have 250 students with 6 school bus and 24 teaching n ton teaching staff. To manage everything i need to collect at least 35000 per student but since the locality cannot afford to pay i bare half the amount and this year i charge 14500 including everything. My major cost is transportation that is 8000 per student per year.
Now gradually things are becoming big. It is very difficult for me to survive this school and education of children in locality. Till now this organisation haven't received any funds. Everything is taken care by friends and family. But its a high time now i need help to fulfill my mission of making this area educated.
The progress of the school and students till date is remarkable. We are also been awarded as the best school in the district in year 2016-17. Maximum teaching staff are female with the vision of making women empowerment.
