My name is Preethi Subramanian. People who know me, know that I have always aspired to help people, the elderly in particular. Deep down I have always felt bad that I have the will and time to help them but I don't have the right platform to do so. I learnt from a friend of mine that Milaap is a safe and trust-worthy crowd-funding platform where people can donate for a good cause and Milaap makes sure it reaches the right people. 

I am planning to partner with two old-age homes (SIRAGUGAL in coimbatore and Helping Hearts).  I have always made donations to these charitable old age homes and now I feel we together can do more. We can definitely make the elderly live a comfortable and happy life. 

There is a saying in India 'Mata, Pita, Guru, Deivam'.  This Diwali, lets do our bit to bring smiles to these beautiful 'Matas' and 'Pitas' who have worked hard all their lives, brought up children but have nobody now to care for them..  If you have the power to make someone happy, do it ! The world needs more of that.  

Crowd-Funding is a beautiful way to help people and I want to use this technology to help old people in India suffering from various health issues and those who don't have anyone. 

All proceedings to this fund will be donated to an old-age home in Chennai, TamilNadu and these funds will solely be used to help those people in need.
