My name is Supriya and I am here to fundraise for my father, Shankar who was on the ventilator. The expenses till today has been around Rs.12,00,000. On 23rd he underwent Mitral valve replacement and was removed from ventilation. It was found that the pco2 value in his lungs increased drastically. He was put back on ventilator and then bronchoscopy was performed as he had lower respiratory infection. The procedure made a puncture in his lungs and caused pneumothorax because of which a tube is attached to his lung cavity. As of now the infection patch is still present in the lungs and the doctors are trying to control the infection yet. But are still unware how much time will it take more to come out of ventilation. He also suffered from VAP(ventilation acquired pneumonia) twice. He needs treatment to fully recover. Which will cost around Rs.15,00,000. He is being treated in Ruby hall clinic, Pune.
