Early Intervention is intended for infants and toddlers who have development delay or disability. Know more about development delay by watching video. We recently started Early intervention centre in Tumkur. We reached out to 100s of parents of kids with development delay by doing home visits in 55 wards in Tumkur. In span of 2 months our team identified 141 kids with disability who hardly had any access to therapies. Many parents are still living in myth that it's a curse of past births... Few kids were purposely separated and left alone without any social contact. Few parents were hesitant of therapies thinking when doctor couldn't do anything what will you do??? From these questions to today 26 kids visiting our centre in span of 4 months is a great achievement. This was because they saw some positive change in kids and did spread the word around. But when I think of larger picture this is just a drop in the ocean. So many kids have still not been reached. My dream is to grow this centre slowly and make it such that many kids avail therapy and start seeing improvements like the little cutie in the poster When I met her 2 months back she had weak neck muscle and was never able to sit or keep her neck straight. In a span of 2 months due to therapy she could hold her neck upright and sit. A miracle indeed for parents and a change or impact we saw because of our passionate and committed therapists.... To run the show in one area for one year I would need to raise around 11 lakhs!  Help us grow this project in Tumkur and other rural areas where reach is very very low!
