Why am I fundraising?

I am working as a Piramal Fellow at Piramal Foundation Education Leadership Churu Rajsthan. Spending time with different communities during the course of the Gandhi fellowship, I have noticed that most of parents not aware holistic development of their childrens.

In the deep interiors of Rajasthan in India, exists a district characterized with the most extreme and unusual temperature conditions ever recorded; melting 55 degrees in summer and a freezing -7 in the winters. Popularly known as the ‘Entry to the Thar Desert’, Churu is a place hardly popular for its existing quintessential architectural beauty amongst Indians. Such conditions majorly affect the growth of a child, be it in the fields of academia or personality. The school I work at, GUPS Bangarwa, is located 50 kms away into the deserted interiors from a town called Sadulpur (Rajgarh) in Churu. Children here are deprived of an extremely important basic amenities in the 21^st century, Electricity. Needless to say, the problems it leads to are multifarious in nature. The children here aren’t able to attend classes inside a classroom due to bad lighting and unbearable temperatures and are hence forced to sit outside and study under the shades of trees, a practice seen widely in the Stone Age but something that must have ceased to exist in today’s era. These problems, however, have not stopped children from growing and exhibiting their skills and talent in various forms such as drama, dance, music etc. If only the problem of electricity in this school could be solved, we could definitely expect the notion of a holistic growth of children to be met in actual means thereby converting our dream of an Educated India into reality.several times we also called  the meeting of villagers for troubleshooting  but because of the atmosphere of violence they do not ready to sit together at a meeting. Because of this we cant raise fund for Infrastructure. Please suggest us what can we do to solve this problem. We are waiting for your valuable decision.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

1.7,ooo rs for elecricity connection.

2. 10,000 rs for light feeting in 9 rooms.

3. 15,700 rs for 9 Fans

4. 3,000 rs for regulator, tubelights and holder

5. 10,000 rs for Carpet
