Recently RISE has launched a new project; MY HEALTH.
Under project My Health, we provide Sanitary pads vending Machines and Incinerators to school, slums and residential communities.
Statistical studies show that in our country, still less then 30% of the population is aware about the menstrual cycles and its necessary Do's and Dont’s.
These vending machines allow cheap and easy access to girls coming from underprivileged background, where woman still use cloth. At schools where girls cannot afford Pads even from these machines we have provided a coin box which would allow them free access to the same.
And Incinerators that we install allow us an easy and considerable medium to decompose the sanitary waste generated during menstrual cycles.
So far, the team have been successful in installing these machines over six schools across the city and have received tremendous appreciation and acknowledgement for creating the awareness, a few other schools have also shown their keen-ness to inculcate this education for the same to it's students through our Project "My health".
