We at AIQA Foundation are raising funds to build a shelter home for women and the LGBTQIA+ community in New Delhi. India, despite its diversity, is lacking when it comes to awareness regarding the rights of women and the LGBTQIA+ community. A lot of queer people, especially women are often disowned, thrown out of their family homes for the choices that they make. Through building this shelter, we are trying to provide temporary and permanent accommodation to women and LGBTQIA+ community members that face domestic violence and help them start afresh by helping to find job opportunities in the city.
We are currently looking for places of residence for accommodating community members and women. The cost includes -1. Rent
2. Furniture cost
3. Maintainence cost for an year. (electricity, water, etc)

We are a registered organisation with 80G which can result into tax benefits (terms and conditions apply) to our donors and supporter. With the help of previous fundraisers, we were able to help 40 LGBTQIA+ community members from 2020 to 2021. We are currently providing affordable therapy to victims of abuse and helping them gain confidence.
With the building of shelter home, we will be able to touch further lives and help them sustain themselves while feeling safe. In the span of three years, 2019-2021 we were able to help over 200 women and LGBTQIA+ community members.
