Dear Sir/Madam,

Kukudwad (Satara,Maharashtra ) and surrounding villages are facing water crisis since last couple of year and all are putting a tremendous effort to fight this battle against drought. Rainfall in this area is uneven, uncertain and irregular. We have participated in water cup competition (8th April to 22 May 2018) organised by Paani Foundation to solve this water scarcity issue. It involves work for soil and water conservation, watershed management/earthen dam/water harvesting/tree plantation/CCT/CB/DCCT/LH/irrigation /drainage etc.

Every day more than 1000 villagers are working  to finish target of 27000 Cubic meters of different structures for water conservation.(Required fund and equipment arranged by villagers only for Shramadaan to store 27,000,000 liters of water)

Mainly fund needed for building water conservation structures and
Repair of existing structures, Dug well recharge and Innovations using machines (Poclain/JCB)

Target is to make water conservation structures of 2630(hector) *150= 394500 cubic meter.

Most of the work will be done voluntarily by villagers but we need funds for Poclain/JCB machinery, materials used for work and mainly construction of earthen dam /Dug well/DCCT/farm found/nala deepening etc (cost estimate ~30,00,000 INR) to store more than  394,500000 litres of water.

A total of 14,50,000 INR is already collected with gracious contributions from many people and villagers. Your valuable addition to this will make a huge difference in solving this serious issue and saving the environment.
