There is a saying in Hindi “Ek Maa dus bachon ko sambhal sakti magar dus bachen milke Ek Maa ko nahin sambhal sakte” - One mother can take care of ten children, but ten cannot take care of one mother”. We have proved that this saying does not apply to Fatima Old Age Home.
The motivation to start Fatima Old Age Home was initiated by Mohammed Abdul Wasif, due to his love and affection for his late aging mother, for whom he left his accounts job in The Gulf and decided to come back to Hyderabad, India and care for his aging mother in her end of days. Sadly Wasif’s Mother passed away fighting her degenerative health condition on 18th, October 2015. During his care activities for his mother, Wasif observed that many aging mothers are being despised and neglected; this shattered him and woke his conscience to realize the need for a secular old age home for aging mothers where they can age with grace and provide for their end of days care.
Fatima Old Age Home one of the secular old age home is registered society established in the year 2014, based in Hyderabad. Now we gradually grew to house a total of 48 Aging elderly persons (7 male and 41 female). We provide free accommodation, health facilities and other psycho-social support through our well trained staffs. Ambulance services are provided as per requirements to cater to their needs. In our home persons many of whom are suffering from different forms of disability and health ailments. The organization has been managing funds from different sources by way of individual contribution, free will contributions and donations from the well-wishers.
This contributions and support would go a long way in complementing to the improvement in the quality of life and overall well-beings of the elderly person which will ultimately reduce in incidence of morbidity among the elderly persons through timely provision of services. The primary objective of starting the care home is to make sure that the elderly persons genuinely feel that they are cared for and looked after, provided with holistic care to the best possible extend. The aim is to ensure the senior citizen home becomes a home away from home. They provide holistic care and ensure that the well being and quality of life is enhanced. The services provided at the residential care include regular medical check-ups, psychiatric care, counseling, recreation, meditation, prayers etc. The home is well maintained and equipped with all basic amenities required for a reasonably good quality-of-life.
So many pathetic stories found in our old age home which we could not express our feelings. Many senior citizens face the prospect of a lonely death at hoes for the aged, we are taking care of the funeral proceedings. In family after family, the story is the same. Sons and Daughters driving their elderly parents out of the house due to property issues and for so many reasons. Parents and children have the purest relationship. It is the duty of children to look after their parents when they are old and cannot care for themselves. Unfortunately, recent trends show that people would rather leave their parents in old age homes, an act which has devastating effects on the emotions of the abandoned parents.
Fatima Old Age Home is supported by the kind hearted people of the society and runs independently on through donations.

You can adopt one or more destitute mother by paying rupees 7000/- per month or rupees 84000/- annum.
By adopting one or more mother you will receive
a) Details of the mother/ mothers being adopted
b) Update on your adoption (how your adoption has benefited the mother)
c) Progress reports of the mother/ mothers health and development.
d) Interact with your “mother” via Skype, IMO, Whatsapp calling.
Your Adopted Mother will receive
Total Medical Coverage (Medicines and Doctor Checkups.)
Bedding and Clothing
3 times meals and 2 times tea with snacks
Physiotherapy 4 times a week
Outing and Picnics
NB: Lab Tests and Diagnostics covered.
