Save Fatima from a Tumor
Fatima was only a couple of months old, when she had to undergo the first surgery to remove a kidney. The treatment went on for 7 months. Her parents Yarab Pasha and Shazia Begum were confronted with such a medical emergency for the first time. Before this, Fathima had been a happy, healthy baby who never even fell sick.

Fatima's father is a farmer. He also drives an auto part-time to make some additional income. Despite this he makes around 5-6000 per month. It is within this money that he has been handling all medical expenses so far, alongside his 6-year-old daughter Rifath's education. After the first surgery, things started getting a little better, but when the symptoms returned, the previous hospital did not have enough facilities to provide treatment to baby Fatima.
Her father takes her to a hospital 90 km away from the village thrice a month to ensure she gets the best treatment.
Narayana Hrudayala is 90 km away from their village of Kaiwara. Yarab brings Fatima here every ten days to ensure she gets the best care. Despite his financial condition and the need for money, he takes out the time to take her down to the hospital and do all the tests required. He has done all he could, and is left with nothing more.
Yarab has sold his farmland and auto, and has mortgaged his house to save his little one. He is now helpless and in terrible need of funds. The cost of the entire procedure is estimated at 13 lakh. You could help a father save his daughter.

Dear supporters,
We would like to thank you all for the contributions to provide the highest quality of care to Fatima.
Unfortunately, despite the medical team’s best efforts, she passed away on 9th April 2017. Fatima suffered from serious lung cancer. She underwent Bone Marrow Transplant in March. However, things became critical after the BMT. She had serious side effects and had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
For almost a couple of days before 9th, her stomach bloated unnaturally. On 8th April, her condition deteriorated immensely. She could not breathe properly. Her infection got worse and before any further medications could be provided, she passed away on 9th April around 3pm, in the ICU.
The family is still in the shock of losing their daughter. It was little difficult for us to get in touch with them. However, her father has thanked the donors for their support and contribution.
We once again thank the donors for their support. May her soul rest in peace. We pray the family finds strength in this time of grief.

Dear Supporters,
I am Ankita, a community associate at Milaap. Thank you for your great support. Here is an update on Fatima's health.
I spoke to her father, Mr. Yarab Pasha, this morning who just returned back to his village from the hospital. Fatima underwent Bone Marrow Transplant on 15.03.17. Apart from this, she has been recently diagnosed with lung cancer and is currently undergoing treatment for that in the BMT cell unit.
For the past 2-3 days, the treatments are having a side effect on Fatima. "She has been vomiting and is facing difficulty in eating her meals", said Mr. Pasha. Fatima is admitted to the hospital for the past 11 days with her mother. Unfortunately, her father has been able to visit her only twice.
They want to THANK all the supporters who came forward and gave them a hope of their daughter's health.
Please pray for her quick recovery. We will keep you posted on her progress.
