Did you know that India has the largest child population of 400 million but only about half of them get adequate resources to attend school? India had seen the biggest education gap and drop-out rates during the covid-19 pandemic. Either govt. schools remained closed in many areas of India or the online platform of education was not accessible to everyone. I am Sri Kalash, an 11th grader, and the project I have been working on is named “Project Vridhi”: a project for providing quality education, resources, and infrastructure to underprivileged children aged between 10-15 living in care homes. “Vridhi” this name is something very personal to this cause, which means growth or rise in Hindi and that’s the objective of this initiative, seeking growth in the underprivileged children and making them academically strong.
Many students are dropping out because of the lack of funds or fees to pay their school. Unfortunately, most of the orphans do not have parental support for education leading to lower literacy rates in them. This is forcing literacy rates to drop. Our aim, Team Vridhi, is to provide free tuition to these students with a mix of offline and online platform. For this we need a lot of help, mainly resources to help students like tablets, books, and fees for these children. Your donation can help one student get education for a whole year without worrying for funds. Thank you in advance! Your donations will be of tremendous help and we are extremely thankful.
