Dear Donor!
I am fundraising for one of the expeditions of GHE (Global Himalayan Expedition). Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) seeks to provide clean energy, education and wireless connectivity access through solar power, to help improve the living standards of the rural population. Projects are being carried out to help electrify remote Himalayan villages in Ladakh. More than 25 villages have been electrified. This has also led to an increase in income and livelihood creation.
I have been shortlisted for the expedition to light up a remote village called 'HIPTI'. The expedition spans across 9 days of trekking, mountain biking and solar electrification of the village through installation of solar grids.
Previously worked as a flight attendant, I moved to being a TED’xer now. I serve as an education consultant alongside leading hospitality at TEDxSurat and helping the team with content development.
Travel, adventure and making such difference in the lives of people is something that truly inspires me. Post the expedition, I plan to complete social entrepreneurship course and keep contributing to this sector.
The total cost for the expedition is $1500 plus my travel expenses.
