Preliminary:Native Medicare Charitable Trust, a social service organization, has been working with remote Tribes, Rural women & children, people infected by HIV / AIDS, Migrant Industrial Workers and malnourished School and Community Children. We have undertaken interventions for promotion of Education, Health and livelihood developments;
Over these years we have reached out over 200 Tribal families , 3000 HIV infected families, 20,000 rural women & children and 15,000 malnourished School and Community Children the Children of these families were deprived of their basic education due to acute poverty in the family, motivation and availing the opportunity.
Rojakootam Forum:With a view to provide support for basic education and opportunities for higher education, these destitute children are organized into an Umberlla namely, “Rojakootam Forum”. Donations as cash and kind such as Uniforms, Notebooks, Bags & School Materials are mobilized from philanthropic donors for the purpose of promotion of education to the children.
Rojakootam include orphaned / semi –orphaned children, school dropout children, and children infected / affected by HIV / AIDS. Over 1000 children have been organized under “Rojakootam Forum” and supported for education, skill building trainings, sharing & solving of internal problems, planning for future careers etc.. Children clubs have also been formed among themselves in their respective areas to organize various trainings mobilize supports and plan for their future.
Rojakootam Day Celebrations:Most of the Rojakootam Children who aspire for higher education aiming at their future career, face financial constraints to meet out their educational needs such as school uniforms, Text Books, Note
Books, School Bags, Chappals, Shoes, Hostel Fees etc, due to their family circumstance.
NMCT Mobilizes donation in Cash, and also school materials for distribution among the destitute children. Rojakootam Day is celebrated every year during last week of May, in order to distribute the education supports to the destitute children, enabling them to continue their studies in schools / colleges.
How can you be a part of this noble cause?This year (2018 May) we have planned to Support “1000 Children” at Coimbatore. These underprivileged and vulnerable children often drop out from schools, not affording for payment of fees for Higher Education, purchase of school note books / bags / education materials. These children should not be deprived of their opportunity for their education and plan their future.
Your contributions will enable them to make a better future and livelihood. We appeal for your participation and contribution in our Noble Cause for providing education support to the underprivileged children.
