This story is about a small village in the city of Jamshedpur - Bhedi Gram. The village runs a small school in dilapidated state, which takes care of the education needs of its 60+ children in the village.
We started visiting the village as a part of our project in XLRI, which was basic education to the kids. Despite the underprivileged background, these kids share even more enthusiasm for learning. They loved English classes and were more than curious to learn how to operate a laptop.
Infact, some of these kids were also proficient in excel and knew how to make graphs.
But what still grapples them is lack of access to basic necessities like stationery, books, internet etc. Hence, we have taken the initiative to supply the kids with these necessities and invite you to be a part of the same.
We will be using the funds to:
1. Buy stationery
2. Install a small library for the children
3. Buy educative posters
4. Buy a tablet so that they can access internet
Please do contribute, even if it's 100 rupees. It might be 0.25% of your salary (or even less) but it can be maybe, a multiplication lesson for a child, which he will remember for the rest of his/her life.
