I am pledging my birthday to help unemployed youngsters become skilled professionals

Applaud Hema-a young Engineering graduate from Bhimawaram (Andhra Pradesh)- who was able to secure a loan amount of Rs 32000 under the aegis of the National Skill Development Mission and post-enrollment in a three-month Java programming course conducted by Talent Sprint, she has been doing an excellent job in a leading software firm. And, Hema is grateful for the timely loan disbursed to her. After all, she had cherished the dream of a successful career in the IT sector.
Hailing from a humble background, Hema did not possess the wherewithal to pursue a skill-enhancement course (Java programming course). She was also candid to acknowledge her poor communication skills. Bereft of all support whatsoever, she was wondering what to do next. Succor came in the form of the timely loan which she is now repaying from her monthly salary. Through the loan amount, she was able to undergo training in Java programming for three months. Also, her inter-personal communication skills improved during the training period.
Under the aegis of the National Skill Development Mission, Talent Sprint provides training in IT skills and programming. The National Skill Development Mission is an initiative of an unprecedented scale where 500 million individuals have been trained in diverse skills in a decade. Talent Sprint has trained more than ten thousand young stars, and plans to take this initiative forward in banking as well. Specialized training programs for the IT sector focus not only on industry relevant technical skills, but also on developing sharp interpersonal skills. After three months, many students like Hema have started their careers in pioneering companies like Accenture, HP, Polaris, TCS etc. Loans are granted to students who tend to lose out on a job opportunity due to lack of technical skills. Each loan means a lot for the youth like Hema, and, a little step for India in realizing the potential of the youth!
