from Help Us Distribute Food To Daily Wage Earners Families Suffering Lockdown

Hi
Second Corinthians 9:7 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Help Raise Funds To Provide Relief, Aid & Support To The Urban Poor & Essential Workers On The Frontline

Grace Of Glory Ministry Trust is one such initiative by young informed citizens like you who began this movement in Mumbai on 23 st March 2020 to provide dry provisions for the Daily Wagers, Construction Workers, Widows, Single Parent Units, Migrant Labor, Hostel Youth, Beggars and street children who are out of work due to the Covid-19 lock down.

As India’s COVID-19 count crosses the 1000 mark, curbing the virus within the next few weeks will be critical in containing the disease. Reaching out to most vulnerable communities at this time is of crucial importance. Daily-wage earners (such as construction workers, street vendors, garland makers, etc.) are fast losing jobs and are unable to procure food and essential items. Many households are surviving on little or no food.
Help Us Distribute Food To Daily Wage Earners\' Families Suffering From Lockdown Due To Coronavirus

Over the last several days, GRACE OF GLORY MINISTRY TRUST (GGM TRUST) a non-profit development organisation, has been reaching out to low-income and vulnerable communities in 20+ settlements across 4 cities in the Greater Mumbai area where we work—Bhiwandi, Thane, Kalyan and Dombivali covering more than 2500 families. It was revealed that they are in dire need of support.

Individuals from disadvantaged communities (Pardhis, transgenders and many others) and homeless people are almost on the brink of starvation. Anganwadis have stopped daily food supplies in many areas; schools are closed and mid-day meals have also stopped. With the lack of daily-wage jobs, many migrant workers have been frantically trying to get on the fastest train to make their way home.

We launched a campaign ‘Together We Can’ to raise funds and in-kind support the to offer emergency relief food supplies to the urban poor, starting with the most marginalised families first. We have already distributed basic provisions to 50 homeless families, comprising 100+ individuals

We have followed a sensitive approach in providing families with a week’s worth of rations per package (Rs 700).  This food kit comprises of the following:
One Ration Bag includes:
5 kgs Wheat Flour
2 kgs Dal
3 kgs Rice
500 ml Oil
100 gms Turmeric Powder
100 gms Red Chilly Powder
100 gms Cumin Seeds
100 gms Black Mustard Seeds
100 gms Curry Masala
2 soaps

Today we are reaching out to nearly 50 more households and we appreciate any help from you.  We are accepting support in cash and kind (foodgrains and non-perishable food only). Together we can help them survive the pandemic.

Please support the cause in your own capacity and share it with your friends and family. Let's all come together and alleviate the suffering of the Daily Wage Earners.

We thank you once again for your contributions.
Stay home, stay safe.

We Are Grateful For Your Help
