Duke University's Talent Identification Program is an annual event held for academically gifted students of grade VII and VIII across India. This Summer Studies Program co-sponsored by Duke TIP and Shiv Nadar University (SNU), provides superb academic opportunities and dynamic residential and social experiences to selected students. The three-week program takes place in a unique learning environment designed to motivate and challenge academically talented students. Within a supportive and nurturing campus setting, it gives highly talented students the opportunity to stretch themselves beyond their self-perceived expectations and limits. Participants explore topics ranging from environmental engineering to entrepreneurial leadership, engage in inspiring residential programming, experience life on a university campus, and develop lasting friendships with academically-gifted peers from across India.
Parikrma students have been selected for the TIP every year for the last 6 years. The selection process includes essay writing, debates and group discussions in addition to the student's academic performance and proactiveness. This year, 4 Parikrma students have been selected to attend the program at Shiv Nadar University near Delhi from 10th to 30th May 2015.
