Hey Everyone,
My name is Shaan and I am from Bhopal, India. I am absolutely thrilled to have been accepted into a top 10 international MBA programme at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, however, to be able to attend, I need your support!
I am starting this campaign to raise INR 20,00,000 (Approximately $25,000) which is about 18% percent of my total Cost of Attendance:
133,500 Euros (INR 1,11,28,653) = 93,500 Euros (Cost of Tuition) + 40000 Euros (Living Expenses) [Screenshots shared in the photos above]
Duration of programme = 19 months
About me:
I have been a social impact professional for the past decade having worked on education equity, environmental protection and gender equality. I have been an advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have supported thousands of young people to learn and create social and environmental impact. I was a Teach For India Fellow between 2012 and 2014, a Climate Tracker South Asia Fellow in 2016 and currently work to support the Leadership Development of women across Asia at Wedu.

I have volunteered extensively and have served as an ambassador to multiple national and international non-profit and charity organizations and also represented India at Miss Earth in 2017.
I am very proud of all the work I have been able to do so far, however a social impact career and working in non-profits has also made financing an education abroad, especially a top MBA program very challenging. Also, contrary to popular belief, representing my country in an international pageant drained me of most of my savings, since I bore a majority of the cost of preparation to represent.

Additionally, in 2017, I was accepted into Columbia University in New York (one of the most prestigious universities in the world and globally renowned college for the degree I had applied for: Journalism) but I could not attend due to financial constraints and was not even able to secure the loans.

While that experience was difficult, I have taken the last few years to move forward, grow myself professionally and identify my interest and strengths. I am keen to pursue an MBA as I hope to become an organizational leader working on sustainability and climate action globally in the future.

While applying and getting in is a difficult process in itself, actually being able to attend is much harder. Now, after securing my place at IESE, I am determined to not let the financial constraints deter me from reaching my goals. In the past I have fundraised for the children in the class I used to teach in underserved schools and also fundraised for another NGO and this time I really hope that you would be able to support me in this process as I fundraise for myself!

Where will the rest of the money come from?
I will be funding the full cost of my MBA through a combination of fundraising, scholarship and my personal savings/support from my family however, the largest amount of funding would come from loans. As many of you may already know, for securing the loan one needs to share a percentage of the cost as full tuition and living expense loans are not available. Your support in this fundraising campaign will help me secure the loan and ensure I am able to cover my full cost of tuition and living for the entire duration of the program.

Here's how you can help:
1. Please donate if you are able to. No matter what the amount - your contribution would mean the world to me!
2. Please share this with your networks if you can - the more people this reaches, the higher the chances of me reaching my fundraising goal and pursuing my education.
3. Please like this post and comment. This action can increase the reach of this post.
