I go for volunteer teaching in a govt school in khatipura Indore. I am also the secretory of a newly formed NGO "Samiksha Health and Welfare Society". I teach students of class 5th. I got to know that only students of class 3rd, 4th and 5th have desks and benches in class gifted to the school by an NGO two years back. Students of class 1st and 2nd still sit on the floor fighting for 20inchx80inch piece of matt to sit upon. I felt little children do not even have access to comfortable furniture to be able to sit upon in the school.
When spoke to school administration about this condition they said they get aid only for repair work of any kind in the school. They don't receive any aid from govt. for school furniture. It was disappointing to know such fact. I have been going to that school from past 6 months now and want to see them smile on their benches.
I spoke to my NGO Director he was ready to take the project but since we are startup NGO we have to get funds to provide 53 numbers of benches.
I took the charge to gift them benches and desk for comfortable sitting and writing. I am trying to raise funds from every possible mean so that I can order them and pay 40% amount at the time of order another 40% at the time of receiving half order and remaining 20% at the time of receiving 2nd half stock.
Your contribution means something very important to those children.
