As you know that Covid19 cases in India are increasing everyday - 3,60,000 cases - and in Ahmedabad, we have about 5000. Hundreds of people are outside the hospitals, waiting for their loved ones, without caring to have eaten or not. Moreover, due to the curfew in the city, lakhs of people have lost their job, creating financial instability in their families.
Keeping this mind, Panah is starting its new initiative: 'Do Guna Khushi' - where we provide food to the relatives of Covid-19 patients, belonging to a low-income community.
What's more? We will source these tiffins from low income households and provide them an alternative source of income in these uncertain times.
We are doing this to provide financial independence to women and food for those who are already suffering through this pandemic. Hence, the name, 'Do Guna Khushi': food for the hungry and employment for women.
To make this a reality, we will need funds and YOU can help us with that! We need an estimated ₹3,10,000/-, which includes cost of paying women for their tiffin services, transport costs, safety kits for drivers and other additional costs, that would support 100 patients everyday and 30 women will get employment from same.
