On the very next day of Diwali every year, a common scene on the streets compel to contemplate the peculiar world we live in. I see small kids collecting used firecrackers and the remnant candles and diyas. They don't get sweets on Diwali. They never get a chance to exhibit their fondness for rope lights. But they don't complain anything. Whom will they complain to after all? The money that an average person spends on shopping for Diwali is nothing less than the total profit the sellers incur throughout the festival season. The money they earn is hardly enough to feed themselves and their family.
While the children belonging to middle and affluent families spend this prosperous festival with delicious sweets and by burning crackers outside their houses decorated with premium diyas and rope lights, the underprivileged children can either be seen roaming hopelessly on roads or selling diyas on the footpath as street vendors. Shouldn't they have the basic right to enjoy the festival of lights? Amidst this festival of lights, their lives remain in darkness.
As the popular adage goes: "Happiness increases by sharing with others", this Diwali, let's include the needy who have been socially segregated in our celebrations of this auspicious festival. Our NGO's last year success inspires us to again reconstitute the Diwali campaign this year for the children. Since we are planning to carry on the same on a larger scale, we earnestly need your support.

Donate today to help a child rejoice on this Diwali.
About our organisation:Our NGO - Avahan Ek Pehal, sometimes abbreviated as AEP, was started in the year 2014 with the objective to empower women and create a better future for the children. We pay special regard to those who are differently-abled and strive to transform their inability into a distinctive ability. Since we are not funded by any organ of the government, we raise funds on our own through our active members and volunteers. We believe in the saying that "Education is the chief defence of nations" and thus hold that a significant change in the society can be brought only by providing at least a minimum level of quality education with good opportunities.
We have our centre at Gwalior (M.P.), albeit have dedicated volunteers from all over the country.
More information about our NGO is available on our official website. Should you have any query regarding donation or anything else, feel free to drop us an email.
