Bal Sakha is a registered voluntary organization working with street/working children and children in detention in Bihar & Jharkhand since 1984.

Under our umbrella project - Surakhshit Bachpan, we at Bal Sakha have come in association with a number of adolescent girls in various villages in the state of Bihar. Over the years we have been able to rescue over 350 girls from the impending threat of child marriage by enabling them through vocational training.

These girls not only support their families financially but have also built their self-confidence to fight the injustices that they have faced the past.

To support our recent initiative for promoting digital literacy amongst adolescent girls in the villages of Bihar, we hope to generate resources through crowd-funding.

We believe that digital literacy is the next big step towards improving the status of girls and children in villages and cities. It will not only educate them but will also help them secure the future of their families and their own.

Our aim is to build resource centers across villages through which digital literacy may be promoted. Training on aspects ranging from basic computer literacy all the way to computer hardware, professional photography, videography, editing and also on other job oriented topics such as soft skills and language development will be imparted through these centers. We aim to procure resources and hire professionals and trainers who can provide the best training to these girls. We aim to make REAL IMPACT to their lives.

While our volunteers work tirelessly to make this dream a reality, we urge all of you to promote our cause by donating as little or as much as you can for this cause.

Your contributions will go a long way in securing the future of these girls!
