12-year-old Shivani was a hard working student. But an unfortunate incident has left her with a bleak future. She fell off a tree, that she had climbed up while playing, and the doctors suggested that she would need immediate medical surgeries, or she will lose both her hands. Shivani is a year away from becoming a teenager, and losing both her hands would mean giving up on her studies and dreams. Her life will become very pathetic.
"We have been begging for funds in the village and trying our best to save our daughter. We have no resources, whatsoever. My husband is sitting at home, without any work, since the first lockdown. I had no choice but to step out, myself; otherwise, we would have died of starvation. Shivani is our precious child and we only want to give her a good life, but she won't be able to do anything if she loses her hands. Life will be tough for my daughter and I want to do everything possible to secure her future. But I can't do it on my own." - Suman
Shivani wants to study well and grow up to become successful in whatever she chooses to do, so she can support her family and give them a better life. Her future lies in the hands of your generous support. Her family couldn't meet her treatment expenses and were forced to bring her home. She is in immense pain, and her condition worsens with each passing day.
"We took her to the hospital, and did whatever they asked us. We paid the fee for her treatment but they said it would require more money, which we couldn't afford. We were left with no option, other than to bring her back home. We barely have enough money to put food on the table on some days... How on earth will we afford her expensive treatment?" - Guru Prasad, father
Shivani's future lies entirely on the success of this campaign. A small token of support from generous souls like you can save Shivani's future. We request you to please support her in all possible ways. Your social shares can also help us connect with more helping hands. Please help Shivani survive.
