The situation in India right now is critical and distressing, with the numbers of Covid-19 cases expected to rise dramatically. The country has now recorded more than 200,000 deaths - the fourth-largest death toll in the world behind the US, Brazil and Mexico, with mounting evidence of deaths under-reported (BBC News, 2021).
With the daily cases soaring each passing day, the hospitals are profoundly overwhelmed. People have died waiting for beds as oxygen supplies in the hospitals run low, which is just one of the many issues the country is currently facing. Experts say the peak of the second wave is yet to come.
The immediate need of the hour is to secure oxygen supply and medical infrastructure to resurrect India that is currently stricken by a massive surge of Covid-19 cases. I urge you all to please support in whatever small way you can, as this will contribute massively to help India come out of this devastating situation.
