    This fundraiser will benefit

    The Coorg Wellness Foundation

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

2018 - 15th August marked a dark day in Kodagu, with heavy recorded rainfall resulting in devastating landslides. The landslides which came as anger of Cauveramma (Reveried as Godess Cauvery by the local folks) towards her children for doing or not doing enough to protect her brought down hills and homes creating a devastation Kodagu had never seen before
The Coorg Wellness Foundation got into action immediately by having a strategy  to help those in need in two stages
Stage One - Rescue and Relief - we were responsible in ensuring mobilisation in helping in rescue work, and ensuring relief material reaching the right hands
Stage Two - Rehabilitation Long Term - Where we first focused on housing those who have lost their homes and subsequently on their livelihood, while doing so we have also assisted in sponsoring over 120 children in care centre 'The Sai Shankar Ashram'. We are assisting in free education and boarding of children, who were displaced due to the floods and landslides in Kodagu.
We are at the moment focused towards providing livelihood opportunity to the displaced families like a
CommUNITY Kitchen which will have women or men from displaced areas make manage and sell food.
CommUNITY Farming where people who are displaced will be given assistance to grow fruits as vegetables viable to the land, and also will be the sourcing space for the CommUNITY Kitchen
CommUNITY Business Centre Which will be focused towards providing ethical business opportunities which could include Bee Keeping, Ethical Breeding of dogs, cats or cattle part from other assistance for small businesses by effected local.
We are seeking crowd funding for the above initiatives and we want our Love Army to grow and become a commUNITY of responsible caring and sensitive beings.
