In the past few months, the state of Bihar and its people have been severely hit by this year’s floods. Millions have lost their houses, farms, their sources of income, and have gone hungry for days. Basic survival facilities have become a scarce luxury, even more for those with no earnings, families with little kids, elder people who require medical care as well as pregnant women. The situations have worsened for a lot of households and not enough help has reached the ones who need it.

WHO ARE WE
SANG, a youth collective by Ashoka University students and students from Project Noor, has provided relief and rehabilitation support to crisis-hit communities in Delhi-NCR and other parts of India. We have recognised 150+ families who are deprived of essentials and require it on an urgent basis. Most of these families come in the BPL category and are completely dependent on external initiators to provide them aid in these unprecedented times.

Given that we are all dealing with the stress of the COVID-19 outbreak, the floods of Bihar have brought the worst for those who were already fighting to make ends meet. This campaign aims to assist people in gradually rebuilding their livelihood and we hope to neither lose people due to starvation or the coronavirus. 1. We cannot withdraw money for our own benefit.

   b) Commodity Distribution: If we are purchasing commodities, Milaap will transfer the required money directly to the merchant's account.
2. We will request the Government to provide the details of needy people. Else help from reputed organisations/NGO will be sought. Our exempted on-ground volunteers also conduct verification of the families we serve.
