We are a NGO for marine conservation and have been conducting underwater surveys and education outreach programs in schools and colleges since 2009.
We are now undertaking 2 projects - one for coral reef regeneration and another one for testing Environmental DNA for a marine biodiversity survey at Grande and St. George Island in Goa in an attempt to find out the marine flora and fauna biodiversity around the islands.

The funds requested is to cover the E DNA project which involves taking water samples and analysing the same in specialised laboratories for DNA sequences and identifying specific flora and fauna. This is a relatively new technique and the lab expenses are quite high and therefore the high funding requested. we aim to use the funds towards salaries for 1 Principal Scientist and a Research Assistant, boat hire charges, field testing kits, transport and other logistical expenses over 1.5 to 2 years.
