Support To 250 Kodagu Flood Affected Families For Resettlement

Kodagu district is virtually siege as heavy rain continued to batter the coffee bowl of the Karnataka State.  Due to recent flood 30 villages are severely affected. The people have lost everything including house, cattle, and cash and agriculture fields. They were evacuated and moved to the relief camps.
We the Rural Development Organization Trust (NGO) was working in Kodagu district since 2016 with vulnerable families to support for their livelihood in 22 villages.  Out of that, 14 villages were severely affected. Once the families start to move in to respective places, there will be need to provide them support with basic necessities food, family kits, education materials school going children and small agricultural equipments for their daily needs.
Education materials like book and stationary will be distributed to the school going children in the relief camps to continue their studies. As we know the villages and families, we do the follow up regularly and supply the materials once they move from the relief camps to their places within 2- 3 months.
