Helping kashmiri women artisans for attending International Trade Fair

Ask for an update

The ongoing crisis in Kashmir has badly affected the livelihood of women artisans. Normally, the women artisans generate their income by making handmade products for tourist buyers. However, the continuous curfew for past two months has broken the linkage between tourists and women artisans. Currently, tourists are not visiting Kashmir due to security reasons. As the local market is completely choked, we are helping these women artisans to get connected with the national and international market. This can be done by supporting these women to attend the India International Trade Fair (IITF) held in Delhi in October.

These women artisans will personally visit Delhi. Most of them have never been outside their houses.

Most of these families are headed by these women and they have to struggle continuously for their survival. Some of them are now suffering from mental distress.

If you contribute towards the cause you will not only help in generating income for more than100 women headed households but will also help them in the sustainable empowerment of these women by linking them to the market.

Therefore, we seek your support for generating funds for helping Kashmiri women artisans participate in the (IITF) held in New Delhi in October.
1. To Raise money for attending India International Trade Fair 2016.
2. To help women in generating income for their livelihood.
