Help My Father Fight Gullian Barre Syndrome

My father who has been suffering from asthma from a very long time, started facing breathing issues which was diagnosed as gulla in lungs. It was removed using Laproscopy..

But just a couple of days after the surgery, he became extremely weak and had to be admitted to the hospital again. After a few days of examination, it's been found that he is suffering from Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS). It is a very rare infection where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy nerve cells, causing weakness, numbness, and tingling and can eventually cause paralysis.

It is also detected that only 50% of his heart is functioning and needs angiogram to check if any blockage in the heart is present. But the treatment for the heart can be started only after the syndrome is cleared.

The treatment for curing the syndrome requires high doses of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) to be injected and the cost estimation is 3.76 Lakhs for 5 days.

IVIG is a treatment made from donated blood that contains healthy antibodies. These are given to help stop the harmful antibodies damaging your nerves. IVIG is given directly into a vein.

Kindly help as much as you can. Even your smallest help will make a huge difference to us.

Please remember that helping hands are better than praying lips.

My father has been discharged but is very weak. The doctors have said that the recovery process is going to be very slow.
Once his condition becomes stable, he will undergo angiogram based on which the doctors will decide whether angioplast is required or not.

Thanks to each and everyone of you who have contributed.

Hi All,

Thanks to each and every one of you for your precious donation. Please know that I and my family greatly appreciate your help.

After injecting immunoglobulin for 5 days, the spreading of virus has stopped and doctors agreed to discharge. But unfortunately, within a few minutes of discharging, my father complained of having severe chest pain and had to be re-admitted immediately.

Doctors have advised for immediate angiogram in order to check if there is any blockage in the heart.

Please continue supporting.

Thank you!
