IITK Alumni provide scholarship to talented students from lower income

CAD is an NGO set up by alumni of IIT Kanpur, Delhi University etc. CAD conducts seminar-cum-orientation programmes  for students of government schools and less privileged students across India. We motivate the young minds to pursue a career in science. We also encourage students in such seminars by conducting quiz and giving small rewards to them like books, study materials etc.

The cost incurred for conducting such seminars include logistics expenses, travelling expenses, reward expenses, study materials etc.

We plan total of 12 seminars & workshops across different states. Our cost to each seminar is around Rs.55000/-.

Costs include the following:
1. Seminar hall booking along with projector, sound system,power backup, recording (Rs.35,000) 
2. Distribution of books, reading materials and prizes to participants(Rs.10,000) 
3. Travelling  and accommodation cost for speakers(average 10,000)

Dear Supporters,

CAD awarded financial assistance of Rs.72,000/- to Jay Kankale and Reetesh Mule, students of Amravati, Maharashtra.
Thanks to the generous contributions made by IIT Kanpur Alumni Yogeshwer Sharma (Y0), Amit Shrivastava (Y0) & Santosh Kumar (Y0), and support provided by IITK alumni Hemant Kumar Meena (Y1), Deputy Conservator of Forest, Amravati, CAD granted Ramanujan Merit-cum-means Scholarship (RMMS) to Jay Kankale, class X student of Shree Ganesh Das Rathi Vidyalaya, Amravati and Reetesh Prashant Mule, Class IX student of Shivaji Multipurpose High School, Amravati selected on the basis of merit-cum-means. Apart from mentoring & personal guidance, these two students will get financial assistance totalling to Rs.72,000/- during their studies upto class XII.

CAD conducted a seminar-cum-orientation programme at Amravati, Maharashtra on 15th July 2017 for government school students of class VIII-XII. 

During the seminar CAD conducted “Kaun Banega Vaigyanik” Quiz contest and shortlisted 10 students on the basis of their performance.
These 10 students were interviewed by the CAD team to select two students for awarding Ramanujan Merit-cum-means Scholarship (RMMS).
