Kerala, often called God's own country recently faced the most devastating floods in the last 100 years. The scale of disaster and people's suffering are still unfolding. More than 400 people have lost their lives and many people were displaced while over 3,000 are still living in relief camps.

We are a group of doctors - making a humble effort - to help the community by re-opening health centers or clinics run by fellow doctors, who have been impacted by the devastation and have suffered complete losses to their medical facilities or equipments - from medications to hospital beds and pharmacies.
We also realize that in the consequences of such a flood, lack of access to drinking water and disruption to health and sanitation infrastructure , invariably, lead to outbreaks of water and vector borne diseases. Consequently, we intend to do our part in preventing the outbreak of such diseases by distributing free basic medical supplies, providing counseling and awareness about health and hygiene practices.
