Story

.               Jasmina Khanna, a Young women with Cerebral Palsy, while sharing her view on a Home for the disabled said “ Very frequently there arises a question in minds of parents of people with disability is that  "Who will look after their child after they are gone?" With the fast spaced lifestyle and the selfish world even the siblings of disabled person do not want to take added responsibility of the disabled kin. Unlike western countries where the government provides for shelter homes for people with disability as they are welfare state no such concept exists in India.  Even those  few negligible shelter homes that are existing around the country are not in good condition.  Parents belonging to middle class and higher class strata find it difficult to keep their children in such homes after they are gone.  Hence a good state of the art home is the need of the hour.   A home where people with disability are not shunned but given compassion, love, respect and dignity.  A home away from home where they can spend rest of their lives with likeminded people.
The Voices of many such Persons with Disability and their parents gave birth to the need to build Saanidhaanam
