Bio-care for women

Bio-Care for women - a biodegradable product for the underprivileged.

Using a sanitary napkin is not a crime, but our society is so backward that we even have to think twice and look around thrice while pronouncing the name of a brand that we want to buy. Maintaining menstrual hygiene is the basic right of a woman to keep herself healthy. So please stop staring at them and help them get through it.

We, Proud Indians are working on finding biodegradable sanitary products for around 189 women of Iblur slum. Help us help them improve their menstrual hygiene. A healthy woman in turn leads a healthy family.

22nd July 2019
Locked in a room, food served in turns.
Get out, they warned,
For it seemed we ruined godly places!
Funny, I said,
For we bleed to give a life.
A Haiku by Anuna Vinod, a student of Calicut Medical College.
This will surely make us think that YES, #menstruationMatters
Yesterday(July 21), we conducted a session about the importance of maintaining menstrual hygiene while simultaneously, explaining
the advantage of Menstrual cups over regular Sanitary Napkins. It was conducted for the women of Iblur slum. By the end of the session, we were able to convince 5 ladies to take 5 menstrual cups on a trial basis and let us know their feedback on the product. The session also included a doubt solving section and each one present was also given a demo on the correct usage of the product.
We would like to thank Radhika and her Team Shakti for conducting this awareness session and also for providing the demo cups.
