"Bihar ki Beti"-Encouraging Education For Bihar's Girls

Bihar has the lowest female literacy rate and the highest female infanticide rate in the country. This is primarily a social issue as females are considered inferior and families discourage girls from studying.
Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi had launched a "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign in select states to turnaround the situation and encourages parents/society to nurture and educate the girl child.
In May 2016, I, in my official capacity as a representative of People Combine Education Group had rolled out tuition fee waivers for Bihar Girls. These fee waivers were announced by prominent BJP leaders at a Press Conference held at Hotel Gayathri Palace, Muzaffarpur, North Bihar.
I am now taking this initiative forward, in my personal capacity, and will be offering cash scholarships to 2 girls from Buxar town in Bihar state.www.facebook.com/sid.baliga.3

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for your support. Keeping you posted on the progress made. Received contributions from both friends in India and abroad.
The contributions made in Indian Rupees (INR) were directly transferred, by Milaap, to SOS Children's Villages of India and will benefit a girl child in Begusarai, Bihar.
I am finding it difficult to directly transfer the contributions in US Dollars (USD), to SOS Children's Villages, as Milaap transfers such funds to only FCRA Accounts (of NGOs) and SOS will not accept USD contributions into their FCRA Account basis my Indian passport.
I am in touch with Milaap to explore the possibility of perhaps routing the funds through my account and eventually to the NGO. Will keep you all posted on the progress.
Regards.

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for helping us.
I have identified a girl named Manisha from Bihar who will be awarded this amount to enable her to study a course in Visual Effects (VFX). VFX is widely used now in Indian movies (both Hindi and Regional) and the sector is posting a health ~18% CAGR growth thus creating sustainable job opportunities.
With the slump in jobs in IT, talented students are now looking at hopping on to the Rs.10,000 Crore Indian Animation & VFX Sector.
Manisha is studying in final year at Central Institute of Technology, a Central Government Funded Institution.
Thank you for helping us.
