    This fundraiser will benefit

    Bhavya D

    from Chennai, Tamil Nadu

3-year-old Bhavya has hardly seen the world outside the hospital. Even if she spends few minutes outside, she would get a severe fever and breathing trouble. Every now and then the fluids are removed from her stomach but it is collected again in few days. She is going through multiple blood transfusions. She has loose motions 6- 8 times every day. At this rate, we will lose our daughter before we get a chance to save her.

When Bhavya was 1-year-old, her stomach started bloating. It was twice the normal size. Her parents took her to the nearby hospital and doctors said she has a liver problem and medications will help her. Within few months she started having breathing trouble. She would breathe as if her whole body is tightened. They thought medicines would help her but her condition became worse. When they took her to a bigger hospital, doctors said that her liver is completely damaged and only a liver transplant can help her to survive. If they delay even by hours, her situation would turn and she would be beyond help.

Bhavya suffers from breathing trouble frequently

"My daughter never knows what it is to be without pain. She is going through excruciating pain for the past two years. She cries for hours and annoyed with everything around her. She is too young to understand what is happening. She is too young to die." - Dharanidharan.

Bhavya's younger brother also suffers from liver disease

When Dharanidharan and Saranya are struggling to save their first child, they were completely broken when they came to know that their 1-year-old son Ritish also suffers from liver disease. His liver is 50% damaged already and he needs a liver transplant too. They cannot imagine that their son going through the same painful journey.

They feel completely lost. Dharani and Saranya have never had an easy life. Dharani's father is mentally challenged and Saranya's mother went into depression after her husband's loss. They are completely dependent on Dharani's income.

"My husband is the donor for my daughter and I will be the donor for my son. I wish I could give my liver to both of them but that is not possible. After the liver transplant, my husband should be at rest for at least a month. He will not be able to go to work. I'm not educated, I'm willing to do any work for my children but I cannot leave them alone at home and there is no one to take care of them. My daughter has hours left although we hope it is days. With this condition, we will never know when is too late. So we are afraid that the delay in arranging funds is killing her.' - Saranya.

Bhavya's parents cannot afford the transplant
