Team Happy Roots always dreamed of building a community, where common people like us, can create real impact and have a direct contribution in changing thousands of lives. As they say that it always starts small, we have found one more opportunity to realise our dream. And this time, we are partnering with you!
We are doing a pilot project in Ahmednagar, with 50 tribal women farmers. This project would involve beekeeping and extraction of Buckwheat honey. We started revival and farming of Tartary Buckwheat last year and it's been one of our very successful livelihood development projects.
This year, we want to test and prove the validity of the theory, that beekeeping is not only an excellent alternate livelihood source for small farmers but build a sustainable environment for all neighbouring flora & fauna . Happy Roots is still a small startup and hence we need money to run this project. All money raised will be directly credited to our NGO partner Lokpanchayat, who are our project implementation partner.
