HOW ONE DOCTOR’S DREAM TO HELP HIS PATIENTS GAVE BIRTH TO BCPBF
It was the desire to help his patients beyond his clinic that prompted Dr Sameer Kaul, a renowned cancer specialist, to set up the Breast Cancer Patients Benefit Foundation (BCPBF) in September 2004. He got together a team of doctors, cancer survivors, and professionals from different walks of life to ensure that efforts were being led from varying perspectives.
Since then, BCPBF has been actively providing help to financially-constrained cancer patients in India and neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. In the interim, the foundation extends support and treatment to poor patients with all forms of cancer.
The foundation has so far given financial help to over 660 patients for treatment, supported 257 patients through the Medicine Bank, and screened over 21,600 patients at its free medical camps.
YOU CAN HELP BCPBF SUPPORT MORE CANCER PATIENTS
The Foundation receives several heart-rending appeals for help every single day. We try our very best to help poor cancer patients through treatment at our frequent OPDs across South Asia, and also through our Central Drug Repository. But we are dependent on your help and support for patients who have no funds to seek treatment and palliative care.
