Mr. Balaji aged 16 years a native of Bangalore. He is student of first year PUC at Gopalan Pre University. His father Mr. Narayana is a welder with a minimum income of Rs. 400/- per day and his mother Mrs. Gowri does housekeeping job and earns Rs 7,000/- per month. Balaji is from family of 4 members, he has one elder sister who has completed B.Com and is in search of job.
Balaji at the age of 5 years started developing spine deformities. During the last year Balaji had undergone spine surgery at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital. The surgery was done to correct his deformity as he was losing his balance over his lower limbs. Post-surgery Balaji started developing lower spine curve when consulted he was asked to undergo revision surgery.
The cost of the surgery is estimated at Rs. 3,00,000/-. The family is not in a position to pay for the surgery as they are still repaying the debt with an interest of 3% per month for the money they borrowed for the previous surgery.
