New Born Baby Needs Your Support To Live

Suganthi's baby girl was born on November-4th,2016. Her husband, Mr.P.kumar is a daily wage laborer earning Rs.150 a day. They live near Arcot in Chennai. They do not have any other children as well.
Suganthi's baby has been diagnosed with a severe case of Laryngomalacia. This causes noisy breathing in new-born babies. For most children, laryngomalacia is not a serious condition — but are able to eat and grow. However, a small percentage of babies with laryngomalacia do struggle with breathing, eating and gaining weight. As with the case of Suganthi's baby.

The baby was admitted at Child Trust Hospital on day 14, with complaints of difficulty in breathing and noisy breathing, which was noticed on the fourth day after birth.
The baby also had an acute life-threatening event in the form of choking after feeding on the 14th day.
Since then, baby had severe respiratory distress with hypoxia and required respiratory support in the form of CPAP.
The baby is currently stable and is currently on oro – gastric tube feeds.
She may also require surgical intervention based on the endoscopic findings.

The approximate cost of the treatment is Rs. 3.5L including the hospital expenses and cost of treatment drugs. She would also need a respiratory support. Mr.P.Kumar cannot afford this treatment and is beyond his means. Your help and support can help this mother and father a long long way.

Dear Supporters,
The baby of Suganthi is currently doing well. She underwent surgical interventions for supraglottic expiration during her hospital stay and was discharged last November. She has been removed from oro-gastric tube feeds and now she is on oral feeding. She’s had four follow-ups since discharge. She is currently healthy and no longer requires any medication.
Your contributions have helped save the baby of Suganthi, they are extremely grateful for your help!
Thanks,
Team Milaap.
